Senior Technical Consultant and Technology Advisor (US-Only | Remote)

We are looking for an experienced technology professional who can understand complex technical concepts and explain them clearly, confidently, and naturally to clients, partners, and internal teams. This is primarily a technical consulting and communication role, not a full-time software development position. You do not need to spend your time writing code or contributing directly to product development. Instead, you will help us understand technical requirements, evaluate solutions, communicate with stakeholders, and provide trusted technical guidance when needed. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background and can have a fluent technical conversation without making things unnecessarily complicated. You should be comfortable discussing architecture, APIs, cloud infrastructure, AI systems, databases, integrations, security, scalability, and development approaches with both technical and non-technical people. Responsibilities Participate in technical discovery calls with clients and potential partners Discuss project requirements, technical challenges, and possible solutions Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical decision makers Communicate naturally with experienced developers, engineers, and technical teams Review proposed architectures and provide high-level technical feedback Evaluate whether proposed solutions are technically practical and scalable Recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and development approaches Help clients understand technical tradeoffs, risks, costs, and implementation requirements Represent our company during technical meetings and discussions Translate business requirements into clear technical direction for engineering teams Review technical proposals, project plans, and architecture documents when required Provide guidance to our development team when deeper technical expertise is needed Stay involved as a technical advisor without necessarily taking responsibility for implementation What We Are Looking For Strong professional background in software engineering, architecture, IT, or another technical discipline Solid understanding of modern software development and system architecture Ability to discuss technology confidently without relying on highly technical jargon Excellent spoken and written English Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to explain the same technical concept differently depending on the audience Comfortable leading or participating in client-facing technical conversations Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking Professional, reliable, and comfortable working independently Based in the United States Particularly Valuable Experience We would especially like to hear from candidates who have experience as: Technical Consultants Solutions Architects Technical Advisors Senior Software Engineers Engineering Managers Technical Project Leads Pre-Sales Engineers Solutions Engineers Technical Account Managers Experience with AI, cloud platforms, SaaS, APIs, automation, data systems, cybersecurity, or modern software architecture is a strong advantage. What This Role Is Not You will not be expected to spend your working hours developing features or maintaining our codebase. There may occasionally be opportunities to review code, architecture, or technical implementation, but the primary responsibility is understanding technology and communicating it effectively. We are looking for someone who can join a call, quickly understand what the client is trying to build, ask the right technical questions, explain the possible approaches, and give the client confidence that they are speaking with someone who genuinely understands the technology.
